I started this poster on January 18-09, the evening of the pre-inaugural concert (just 2 days before the official inauguration). I loved the vibe of the event, the energy of the crowd and the palpable sense of optimism for the new guy! They had some big name artistes and on the big screens, they even showed snippets of Martin Luther King's historic 'I have a Dream' speech from those very steps. The sense of history was fantastic. So here is my work drawing along the same lines.

This is a mixed media of sorts as I incorporated photos I took that day into this image. The crowds you see are from that day. I hope you like it.
